So their houses are located directly near the sea they swim in the polluted dirty waters risking their lives. They earn a little bit money with selling the plastic to so called junk shops, which recycle the waste. This is a common income in Tondo, one of the largest slums in the world. Hundred years ago there has been beaches here, but now it is a so called Danger Zone with rising sea levels due to the climate change.
