COG, Kongo, Rutshuru in der Kriegsregion Goma , zerschossenes und zerbeultes Verkehrsschild mit Kindern , symbolisch fuer den Zustand der geschundenen Region | COG, Congo , War Zone Goma , One million displaced people are living in tents and refugee camps around the city shaken by the civil war and cut off from the rest of the country. Villages , schools and hospitals are destroyed by military and rebels. The situtation of the peole is hopeless. Dependent on food supplies, families are separeted , children lost their parents, malaria and HIV is widely spread. The world seems to administrate the abject misery. The UN Monuc Peacekeepers seem to give the are a bit security , but people have no confidence in the international blue helmets.
